Our school has a 25 minute period built in to the schedule every day for tutoring (FLEX time). For the most part it is successful because we can get those kids in that can't come in first thing in the morning or stay after school.
ReplyDeleteI can send you a sample of our schedule if you'd like.
Looks like a very thorough and thought out plan. Our school does TAKS-pullouts for identified bubble kids. Basically kids are periodically pulled out of electives leading up to the test and go to special tutoring labs depending on their needs. If this is interesting to you, I can send more information.
ReplyDeleteErika - this is a really good plan - your ideas are well thought out and easy to follow. The ONLY suggestion I have (because I am so anal), is to have tentative and/or set dates for each action - other than that, it looks like you are off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteErika, everything looks great! I can see how something like this would be so beneficial to the students because it cuts back on the length of their days. We have after school tutorials three days a week and its really difficult on the students and teachers!! Great Plan!
